Vicente Moreno Cerpa (Santiago de Chile, 1999) began studying guitar at the age of 14 at the University of Chile, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in 2020 under the guidance of Danilo Cabaluz. He then continued his Master’s studies at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf with Alexander-Sergei Ramírez, completing both degrees with highest distinction. He is currently pursuing the Konzertexamen at the University of Münster with Marcin Dylla.
As a performer, he is active both as a soloist and chamber musician, having appeared in concert series across Chile, Germany, and the United States. He is a prizewinner of national and international guitar competitions and has been a scholarship holder of the Teatro Municipal de Santiago, the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation, the Fundación Guitarra Viva, among other institutions.
During his training, he has received instruction from renowned guitarists such as Leo Brouwer (Cuba), Johannes Monno (Germany), Lorenzo Micheli (Italy), Ricardo Gallén (Spain), Gary Ryan (UK), Judicaël Perroy (France), Gabriel Bianco (France), Thomas Kirchhoff (Germany), José Antonio Escobar (Chile), Jan Čižmár (Czech Republic), among others.
In parallel, he is active as a guitarist and composer in various projects between Chile and the German region of North Rhine-Westphalia, working in the fields of popular and fusion music. His artistic work continually explores the connection between Latin American guitar traditions and experimental music. He currently teaches classical guitar at the Music School of the City of Hamminkeln.
